Financial Services Guide – MSC Advisory

Introduction

This Financial Services Guide (FSG) is issued by MSC Advisory Pty Ltd ACN 607 459 441 (MSC Advisory).

The FSG is intended to provide information to assist you in deciding whether to use any of the financial services we offer.

MSC Advisory is licensed by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) to offer financial services under Australian Financial Services Licence No. 480649 (AFSL) and Australian Credit Licence No. 480649 (ACL).

This FSG provides information about:

  • our range of financial services;
  • our remuneration;
  • complaints procedures;
  • our contact details.

MSC Advisory is a licensed provider of authorised representative services.

We facilitate appointment and management guidance to AFSL and ACL representatives.

We can also cover non-licensed corporates with appropriate authority for regulated transactions efficiently and affordably.

Under our AFSL, we are authorised to provide general financial product advice about a range of financial products, including:

  • deposit & payment products;
  • derivatives;
  • foreign exchange contracts;
  • general insurance contracts;
  • debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government;
  • life products;
  • interests in managed investment schemes;
  • retirement savings accounts;
  • securities;
  • superannuation.

MSC Advisory is also authorised under the AFSL to arrange, acquire, vary or dispose of a range of financial products, including:

  • deposit & payment products;
  • derivatives;
  • foreign exchange contracts;
  • general insurance contracts;
  • debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government;
  • life products;
  • interests in managed investment schemes;
  • retirement savings accounts;
  • securities;
  • superannuation;
  • MSC Advisory engages with third party representatives and sub-representatives.

MSC Advisory’s remuneration in regard to appointment of authorised representatives is contractually documented by a corporate authorised representative agreement governing the appointment.

Generally these are fixed annual fee arrangements, payable quarterly. Fixed fees payable by representatives may vary in respect of specific factors which are not in the control of MSC Advisory, such as funds under management or revenue relating to specific financial products or services.

Importantly, MSC does not earn commissions or other benefits specifically for advice provided by any of its representatives.

MSC Advisory may also earn other fixed fees as governed by contractual agreements and generally these are based on time or milestone achievements relating to performance.

If you have a complaint about MSC Advisory, or any of the services it provides, or any product or service provided by an officeholder or staff member of MSC, or that of its agent or product manager, then please notify our office at your earliest opportunity by contacting:

The Complaints Manager is obliged to report all complaints to the MSC Board of Directors as well as to the MSC Compliance Committee.
The Compliance Committee is comprised of majority independent members and is obligated to report any matters it considers material and adequately addressed by MSC directly to ASIC.

Notwithstanding, should you feel that your complaint has not been adequately handled to your satisfaction, you may report the matter to the Australian Financial Complains Authority (AFCA), of which MSC is a member (No. 36916).
